[ grocery ] :: weekly deals at publix

It's a brand new week of grocery deals! Here are some of my picks for items that I'll be stocking up on. Go to Southern Savers to see other deals - maybe there is something you need on sale!

Every week, Publix publishes a "Penny Item" that is valid on the first day of their weekly sale. Here in the Metro Atlanta area, it's on Thursday for most stores. However, you do need the Penny Item coupon, located in the Living section of the AJC. (Note: sometimes the AJC has a $5 off Publix coupon, too!) So, in order to get the Penny Item for the week you need your coupon and you have to spend $10 in groceries before coupons. Easy-peasy!

Here are some of the items on my shopping list this week, plus a few more that may end up on yours! Pay careful attention to your coupons this week - many expire on 10/31.

Pepperidge Farm Garlic or Cheese Texas Toast: $1.44 - use $0.50 off newspaper coupon, makes it $0.44

Campbell's Homestyle Soup: $1.24 - use $1 off newspaper coupon, makes it $0.24
Campbell's Chunky Soup: $1.39 - buy 2, use $0.50 off newspaper coupon, makes it $0.89 each
Ken's Steak House or Sweet Baby Ray's Marinade and Sauce, 16 oz: $1.49 - buy 2, use $1 off 2 coupon here, makes it $0.99
Uncle Ben's Country Inn Rice, 6 oz: $0.74 - buy 3, use $1 off 3 coupon here, makes it $0.41 each
Mueller's or Hidden Veggie Pasta or Pasta Blend: $0.73 - use $0.55 off newspaper coupon, makes it $0.18

Bolthouse Farms Juice: $1.39

Pantene Hair Care Products: $3.33 - buy a shampoo and conditioner/styler, use B1G1 newspaper coupon and $3 off 2 newspaper coupon, makes it $0.33 for both
Bayer Aspirin, 24-36 ct: $1.99 - use $2 off newspaper coupon, makes it FREE
