[ grocery ] :: the week in review

On Monday, the day before Snowpocalypse II, I went to Aldi to buy all of our meals for the next week. Grocery: $43.53 (Retail). We really enjoyed having healthy snacks and good food while we were iced in this past week.

On Friday, I hit up Publix for our Valentine's Day dinner. Our grand total for dinner was $58.60  (Retail: $65.06) - much cheaper than going out to dinner! We had lobster bisque, a mesclun and tomato salad, prosciutto-wrapped asparagus, and an 8 oz filet  each. We have a ton of tomatoes and wild rice left over for dinner this week.

While at Publix, I grabbed a few items we were out of, plus Busy Bones to distract the dogs while we ate dinner. Pet Supplies: $1.90. Retail: $1.89. Grocery: $15.47 (Retail).
