[ entertainment ] :: georgia renaissance festival

Have you been to the Georgia Renaissance Festival yet? We had a slam packed weekend with the Farmers Market, Atlanta Steeplechase, and we rounded it all out with a trip to the Renaissance Festival on Easter Sunday (we finished in time for Easter dinner, of course!). Tickets are normally $19 per person for the day, but we both got in for just $22 on opening weekend.

Other than some exceptional people watching, there is a jousting tournament, petting zoo, sheep dog demonstrations, live shows, tons of festival food, and more souvenir shops than I could count. Should I mention the turkey legs? It's not a festival without giant turkey legs.

The joust and live shows were my favorite part!

The blue knight's horse was not into the joust...after he saw the other horse coming towards him he was like, "...nope!" and stopped. I had a good chuckle. None of the other non-horsey people knew what was going on.

Check it out if you get a chance! It ends June 8th so get tickets while you can!
