[ grocery ] :: weekly deals sneak peek!

It's a brand new week of grocery deals! Here are some of my picks for items that I'll be stocking up on. Go to Southern Savers to see other deals - maybe there is something you need on sale!

I am definitely planning our menu around the fresh produce. You can bet that I'll be stocking up on mushrooms, blackberries, bell peppers, and celery, since they can all be frozen.

Kroger: Weekly ad here. Get your chicken! Grilling season is coming to a close, and there is a great deal right now for chicken breasts. There is also a "Buy 5 Save $5" deal going on - when you buy any 5 participating items you get $1 off each item. Check for coupons on these items to save even more!

Buy 5 Save $5: I didn't see anything that I'm terribly excited about. However, Coca Cola and Tide are included!

To give you an idea of what I look for, I don't buy boneless chicken unless it's $1.99 or less. The chicken is still a great deal, but boneless/skinless chicken breasts cost a bit more because they require more butchering. It's pear harvesting season too, so stock up now while prices are low!

Target: Weekly ad here. Use a Target coupon and a manufacturer's coupon to save even more. There are awesome deals on personal care items. I'll be hitting up Target tomorrow morning to snag some deals before the crazy coupon ladies clear it out. There are also some deals where you can get a $5 Target Gift Card when you purchase select items. Score!
