[ grocery ] :: my favorite weekly deals

It's a brand new week of grocery deals! Here are some of my picks for items that I'll be stocking up on. Go to Southern Savers to see other deals - maybe there is something you need on sale.

Aldi: Weekly ad here. Remember: Aldi does not accept coupons, and you need to bring your own bags and a quarter! See my guide here. Coupon alert! The Metro Atlanta Aldi ad has a $10 off coupon (when you spend $40) inside of it. I'll be stocking up on veggies and meat for sure. Check out your local weekly ad for more meat deals. Otherwise, there are a ton of organic items for sale.

Kroger: Weekly ad here. You can bet I'll be hitting up the Manager's Special items this week!

Boneless Pork Loin, half loin: $1.99/lb
Tyson Boneless Chicken Breasts or Thighs: $1.99/lb

Yoplait Yogurt, 6 oz: $0.50 each - buy 3, use $0.60 off 3 coupon here, makes it $0.30 each

Red Gold Tomatoes or Sauce: $1 - use $0.50 off coupon here, makes it $0.50

Colgate Toothpaste: $1 - use $0.50 off newspaper coupon, makes it $0.50

Target: Weekly ad here. Check for coupons on these items to save even more! I started using the Target mobile coupons - you just text the code to the provided number and you get a link for coupons on your smartphone! The cashier scans the code and the savings are automatically applied. Cartwheel is also a really nifty way to save at Target - sign up, select your deals, and print out a special code to be scanned at the register. There are a lot of the same deals as last week!
