[ grocery ] :: weekly deals sneak peek!

It's a brand new week of grocery deals! Here are some of my picks for items that I'll be stocking up on. Go to Southern Savers to see other deals - maybe there is something you need on sale.

Aldi: Weekly ad here. Remember: Aldi does not accept coupons, and you need to bring your own bags and a quarter! See my guide here. There are some great produce deals this week!

Gala, Golden, or Granny Smith Apples, 3 lbs: $1.77

Kroger: Weekly ad here. Darn it Kroger, you sucked me back in again. I love boneless chicken thighs, so I may be cleaning out room in my freezer for a few pounds of them. They are delicious grilled, sauteed, or in the slow cooker.

If you're planning on having sweet potatoes on Thanksgiving, this is a good time to get them! Store them in a cool, dry place (like a basement, not the fridge) and they should last over a month. Produce coupons are rare, so print as many as you can for the Dole salad mix!

Cucumbers: $0.59 each

Kroger Boneless Chicken Breasts or Thighs: $1.79/lb

Target: Weekly ad here. Check for coupons on these items to save even more! I started using the Target mobile coupons - you just text the code to the provided number and you get a link for coupons on your smartphone! The cashier scans the code and the savings are automatically applied. Cartwheel is also a really nifty way to save at Target - sign up, select your deals, and print out a special code to be scanned at the register.

There isn't a whole lot that I want from Target this week, but there is a new set of mobile coupons! Text PASTA to 827438.

Raspberries, 5 oz: $2.50 - use 5% off Target Cartwheel plus $1 off Target mobile coupon (Text PASTA or FRESH to 827438), makes it $1.42

Charmin Ultra Soft Bath Tissue, 9 Mega Rolls: $9.99 - use  $1 off P&G newspaper coupon and $0.50 off Target newspaper couopon, makes it $8.49
Bounty Paper Towels, 8 Giant Rolls: $9.99
Charmin Bath Tissue, 18 Double Rolls: $9.99 - use $1 off P&G newspaper coupon and $1 off Tarrget mobile coupon (Text FRESH to 827438), makes it $7.99
FREE Bounty Paper Towels, 2 pk, when you buy 2 Charmin or Bounty Products.

I desperately need to stock up on toilet paper, so here is my deal idea:
